The Enrique Camarena Award was established in 1993 in honor of a DEA Agent who gave his life in an effort to limit the supply of drugs illegally entering the country. This award honors the individual who volunteers his/her time (or if paid, clearly goes above and beyond) in prevention activities and exemplifies the concept that one person can make a difference.
